Attorney

Biography

I am a native Southwesterner, being born in Albuquerque, NM moved to Tucson when I was six, and graduated from Flowing Wells High School and then ultimately from the University of Arizona College of Law. I have practiced law in Yavapai County since 1989, and have operated my own solo practice in Chino Valley since 1993.

I am married and have five children -- and many grandchildren. My interests are in natural history and the outdoors, whether birding, rockhounding, or spending time camping/hiking with my children and grandchildren. I have observed over 700 species of birds in North America.

Education

I received my undergraduate education at Southern Adventist University, and received my JD, cum laude, in 1988 from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!!) in 1988. I regularly participate in, and have occasionally taught at continuing legal education seminars.

Community Engagement

I consider it a joy and a calling to be engaged with my community. I regularly provide pro bono legal services, being named pro bono attorney of the year for Yavapai County, most recently in 2015.

I serve and have served on a variety of civic and non-profit boards over the years. I presently serve on the Boards of Arizona Community Foundation, Arizona SonShine, Prescott Christian Preschool, and my local church governing board. In the past I have served as Vice-President of the Yavapai Bar Association, and as President of the Prescott Audubon Society.

I also presently serve as the District 4 member of the Yavapai County Board of Health.
